European serin

European serin (Serinus serinus), one of Europe’s smallest finches and a wild relative of the canary. Yellow, streaked and stubby-billed, it sings from wires and treetops. Iberian serins winter in North Africa while northern birds take their place here: the set stays full, but its elements change.
