Iberian lynx
Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus). From 62 mature adults in 2001 to 2,401 lynxes counted in Spain and Portugal in 2024; in 2024 the IUCN moved it from Endangered to Vulnerable. Its recovery depends on one prey above all: the European rabbit.
